Creative Santa Fe: Strengthening Santa Fe's Creative Economy

Strengthening Santa Fe's Creative Economy

Angelou Economics' Strategic Plan

Commissioned by the City of Santa Fe, the April, 2004 Angelou Economics Strategic Plan proposed several initiatves to addressing the economic development challenges faced by Santa Fe.

As Angelou Economics stated: "While Santa Fe's exceptional characteristics have drawn in new residents from across the globe, the city has become one of the Southwest's most expensive places to live. Santa Feans are facing a growing disparity between their income and the cost of living. In turn, many local workers live far outside of the city and commute long distances into Santa Fe for work. If this trend continues long-term, the city's economy could suffer."

With extensive community input, Angelou Economics issued the following Strategic Plan, which was instrumental in inspiring the City of Santa Fe's Economic Development Plan, and the formation of Creative Santa Fe.
